Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Pay: $18 - $20 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play a key role in managing invoice processing, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. You'll collaborate closely with the finance and accounting team to support smooth and efficient accounts payable functions. 

What You'll Do
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Review and process invoices carefully to ensure they are recorded correctly and paid on time.
  • Validate transactions by comparing invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Accurately input and assign proper coding to invoices within the accounting system.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
  • Contribute to period-end close tasks by supporting accounts payable reconciliations and reporting.
  • Provide documentation and assist with inquiries during internal and external audit reviews.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Prior experience with high-volume data entry, preferably within an accounts payable or finance environment.
  • Strong focus on accuracy with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Comfortable using data entry platforms and accounting systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
