Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator

Staffing Coordinators Needed Temp-Perm position

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Uses computerized scheduling system to accurately assign new referrals to caregivers on a timely basis. Assigns on the basis of patient's needs, caregiver's skills, physical locale, and caregiver's caseload.  Assures that each day's visits are properly scheduled out for the correct day.
  2. Is responsible for maintaining scheduling system so records are accurate and complete. Assures that updates are input daily as submitted by caregivers, reassigns caregiver to client as needed, and processes paperwork related to changes.
  3. Communicates appropriately with caregiver staff, patients, physicians, and other contacts and accurately relays messages as needed. Treats internal external contacts professionally and with a consistently high degree of customer services.  Notifies Nurse Manager promptly of staffing problems.
  1. Hospice Scheduler responsible for preparing required reports for IDT accurately and timely.


Physical Requirements:

 Occasional reaching, twisting, and stooping to access files.



 Includes computer terminal, data entry keyboard, computer printer, telephone, and copier.


Work Environment:

  1. Daily and repetitive data entry skills to input alpha numeric data into computer terminal, 85% of the work day.
  2. Daily sitting exceeding six hours per day.
  3. Work environment is a shared office environment with other employees working nearby. Background noise is present most of the time.

Education, formal training, certificates:

 Graduation from high school or equivalent.


 Minimum of one year experience in a care scheduling position preferred or equivalent education.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  1. Sufficient knowledge of medical terminology to understand and interpret physician's orders, written or spoken.
  2. Excellent telephone communication in a setting with frequent background noise.
  3. Able to prioritize, coordinate, organize and handle multiple tasks at once, at a rapid pace.
  4. Able to use excellent customer service skills in dealing with staff, managers, and clients.

We are in need of an individuals on a permanent basis.

Location: Arvada, CO

Hours: 8:00am-5pm, Monday-Friday
