A religious organization in the Creve Coeur area is seeking a part-time Office Assistant to join their team! This position will require working between 20-24 hours each week, ideally 9: 30 am - 1: 30 pm, Monday-Friday, but there is some flexibility in the schedule for the right candidate. Pay for this position will be within the range of $12.00-$14.00 per hour during the temporary period, with the potential for a salary review upon permanent hire.   Job Duties:
  • Assist in board meeting preparation, and take minutes during meetings to be distributed afterwards
  • Maintain membership database and update directory and files as necessary
  • Assist in preparing various marketing materials (programs, holiday events, e-blast newsletters, mailings, etc.)
  • Record and track donations and checks and make deposits
  • Assist accounting department with invoice and check stub filing needs
  • Greet guests, members, and vendors in person and over the phone
  • Create and maintain RSVP lists for annual events
  • Notify members of yearly dues invoicing, track payments & run member credit cards for payments
  • Maintain office & web calendars
  • Assist with correspondence and proofreading, both via email and postal mail
  • Assist with event preparation and coordination
  • Generate and mail birthday, anniversary, and condolence letters
  • Additional office duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years prior experience in office assistant or administrative assistant role required
  • Previous non-profit experience a plus!
  • Proficiency in MS Office required
  • Strong typing and data entry experience required
  • Ability to commit to a part-time assignment
  • Stable work history
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed
