One of our clients in the Chesterfield area is in need of a Help Desk Specialist to join their team! This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity, and will pay between $15 - $17/hr during the temporary period, with a salary review upon permanent hire. Hours for this position are 9: 00am-6: 00pm, Monday-Friday, with the potential for occasional overtime (evenings/weekends) as needed. This would be an excellent opportunity for a candidate wit ha few years of IT/help desk experience looking to get in with a large company! 




Job Duties:
  • Support internal users with software and hardware issues
  • Provide a high level of customer service while interacting with users over the phone, via email, and in person
  • Use in-house trouble ticketing system to track and resolve issues
  • Perform desk-side support, upgrades and updates on desktops and laptops (both Windows and  Mac OS).
  • Configure new PC’ s, printers and phones as needed
  • Pack and ship PC equipment as requested

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years prior experience in a help desk (or similar) role
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Windows Messenger, Windows 7 & 10, MS Office Suite, Active Directory, and TCP/IP required
  • Basic networking skills a must
  • A+ Certification preferred
  • Strong detail orientation skills required
  • Ability to pack and ship PC equipment up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to crawl, bend, and squat under desks to hook up and configure PCs and equipment as needed
