Help Desk Specialist
One of our clients in the Chesterfield area is in need of a Help Desk Specialist to join their team! This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity, and will pay between $15 - $17/hr during the temporary period, with a salary review upon permanent hire. Hours for this position are 9: 00am-6: 00pm, Monday-Friday, with the potential for occasional overtime (evenings/weekends) as needed. This would be an excellent opportunity for a candidate wit ha few years of IT/help desk experience looking to get in with a large company!
- Support internal users with software and hardware issues
- Provide a high level of customer service while interacting with users over the phone, via email, and in person
- Use in-house trouble ticketing system to track and resolve issues
- Perform desk-side support, upgrades and updates on desktops and laptops (both Windows and Mac OS).
- Configure new PC’ s, printers and phones as needed
- Pack and ship PC equipment as requested
- 1-3 years prior experience in a help desk (or similar) role
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Windows Messenger, Windows 7 & 10, MS Office Suite, Active Directory, and TCP/IP required
- Basic networking skills a must
- A+ Certification preferred
- Strong detail orientation skills required
- Ability to pack and ship PC equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to crawl, bend, and squat under desks to hook up and configure PCs and equipment as needed
