The Secretary will provides administrative assistance to the Vice President of Membership and all aspects of the Membership Department. Under general direction from the vice president, performs a wide array of clerical and typing/word processing duties. Makes independent decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing and scheduling of own work. Position is a Temp to Hire position, located near O'Hare Airport. Salary will be approximately $50K+ depending on experience.
- Providing administrative assistance to Vice President, Membership.
- Maintains the vice president's schedule, assists with travel arrangements, meeting preparations and reports.
- Schedules and manages administrative details of member CEO events.
- Assists vice president in membership outreach and communication.
- Coordinates member visit materials.
- Processes invoices, check requests, and expense reports.
- Maintains calendars and schedules, and organizes meetings for division.
- Oversees inventory of office supplies and orders additional supplies as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience in dealing with customers and possess an excellent customer service focus.
- Excellent computer skills, report design and database maintenance skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to act independently, including strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint, and learn other department databases as needed.
