Our client in the trading industry, located in Creve Coeur, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team! This is a full-time position, working from 8: 00 am - 5: 00 pm, Monday through Friday. This is considered a temporary position with the strong possibility of permanent hire, depending on candidate performance & business needs. During the temporary period, the position will pay between $15.00 - $16.00 per hour, and upon permanent hire has the potential to increase to up to $17.00 per hour based on experience and a performance review.   The main purpose  of this role is to manage assigned client accounts and assist the accounting department with invoices. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative support background, an aptitude for numbers, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.   Job Duties:
  • Manage various documents, including contracts and invoices
  • Enter sales and purchase contracts into company system
  • Data entry into company database
  • Assist customers with any inquiries
  • Build relationships with clients, notifying them of any updates or issues
  • Create and prepare various reports as requested
  • Process payments for suppliers
  • Generate customer invoices
  • General clerical work (faxing, filing, copying, etc.)
  • Additional support and administrative duties as needed
  • 2-5 years in an office support role required
  • Previous experience working in accounting highly preferred
  • Strong 10-key and typing skills required
  • Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and via email
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred, ideally in accounting, business administration, or similar major
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A stable work history
