Our client, a growing  healthcare  product company located in  Olivette, is seeking a Medical Billing Supervisor to join their busy team.   This is a full-time, direct-hire, opportunity that pays  up to $60, 000 annually. Additionally, this company offers medical and dental insurance, long-term disability, sick leave, life insurance, 401K, and profit sharing are available.  The schedule for this position is 8: 30am-5: 00pm, Monday-Friday, plus 1 Saturday per month. 

The Medical Billing Supervisor will work with the Director of Reimbursement and Billing Manager in all aspects of managing the responsibilities for the department including associate hiring, motivation, coaching, development, discipline, customer satisfaction and achievement of key metrics. 


  • Supervise daily tasks of Billing team
  • Act as the first line of communication with the medical billing representatives for questions and customer issue resolution
  • Take escalated customer calls
  • Review performance data and metrics and address areas for improvement
  • Coach representatives in a positive manner to achieve their individual and department goals
  • Create and implement activities to motivate team to meet/exceed metrics
  • Perform annual Performance Reviews
  • Complete HR/payroll for employees
  • New Employee Set-up
  • Enforce HR policies (attendance, dress code, cell phone, etc.)
  • Work designated Saturday as Manager/Supervisor on duty
  • Keep HR and management informed of area activities and significant problems
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality pertaining to team member and customer situations
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Must be able to work overtime with or without advance notice as the demands of the department warrant
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated experience billing Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word 
  • Ability to motivate employees to accomplish department and company goals
  • Able to remain calm during stressful situations, including interpersonal conflicts between team members 
  • Extensive problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team with little supervision
  • Attention to details and accuracy along with strong organization skills
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others
