Maintenance Mechanic (3rd Shift)

A manufacturing company in Montgomery County is looking for a 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanic who is responsible for providing safe, timely cost-effective repairs to machinery and facilities. In this position, the Maintenance Mechanic will be completing scheduled/unscheduled equipment and facilities maintenance and repairs which will support efficient plant operations, minimize production down time and ensure that products are manufactured in a safe and cost effective environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Trouble shoot and remedy problems with manufacturing equipment and controls systems
Perform preventative maintenance to equipment to assure efficient and long-term trouble free operation
Respond to any maintenance and facility emergency that occurs on the off shifts and make necessary corrections
Conduct equipment calibrations and repairs and necessary
Use Reliability Centered Maintenance principle to analyze key equipment data to choose proper maintenance approach
Track MBTF, MTBR, OEE, and other data to improve availability and performance
Purchase and receive parts and tools to maintain right-sized shop inventory
HS Diploma or GED with 5 years of experience or Associates Degree with 2 years experience required
Experience within manufacturing environment in the areas of facilities maintenance, machine maintenance and repair, equipment installation, and computerized preventative maintenance
Proficient use of electrical and mechanical hand tools required
Excellent analytical skills, strong root cause abilities, excellent communication, proficiency in MS Office Suite, self-starter, team-player, safety and quality oriented, and strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
Skills desired: PLC toubleshooting controls system, HVAC, boilers, knowledge of Lean principles including: TPM, 5S, 5 Whys, OEE, Poka Yoke, SMED, kaizen, etc.
