Our client, a financial organization located in the West County area,  is currently seeking an Anti-Money Laundering Associate! This is a part-time, long-term, temporary assignment with an expected duration of 3 months. The assignment will pay within the range of $12.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending upon experience, working approximately 15-20 hours per week. The main purpose of this role is to assist with the evaluation of customer accounts, reviewing for suspicious activity & filing reports if suspicious activity is found.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Monitor & research suspicious activity in customer accounts using data from multiple sources, and taking appropriate action as necessary
  • Discuss potential issues with branch personnel or other departments as necessary
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer activity & determine if activity warrants a suspicious activity report
  • Draft and file reports with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network as necessary
  • Review and respond to federal requests bi-weekly
  • Assist with investigating, developing, and implementing new department policies & procedures
  • Assist with conducting analysis work on monitoring systems to ensure quality of the systems output
  • Assist with oversight of various other areas of the firm to ensure work is being performed in compliance with the department's program
  • Assist with training of new employees in the Anti-Money Laundering department
  • Perform other duties assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1+ years of brokerage or bank experience required
  • 1+ years Anti-money laundering or OFAC experience required
  • Certified AML Specialist (CAMS) designation preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education & experience required
  • Basic financial knowledge, including familiarity with anti-money laundering requirements & banking/brokerage products and services highly preferred
  • Ability to read and analyze new procedures or governmental regulations
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required
